About This Quote

If someone breaks up, it’s an opportunity to revamp yourself; this time better and stronger than before. This quote is commonly attributed to Helen Keller. However, she did not say it. It was written by the American writer Sylvia Plath in her book "The Bell Jar" which was published in 1963. The author of the book, Esther Greenwood, was inspired by a passage from Helen Keller's autobiography which read: "No one can help another person unless both people want it."
